Unix Administrator Required (Saudi Arabia)

Location: Saudi Arabia
Lead, design, install and administer mission critical UNIX servers, applications, databases and SAN storage. Ensure high availability, security and performance of the servers and hosted applications.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Design/architect, install, support, maintain, troubleshoot and tune operating system, software and hardware.
create system baseline to monitor and ensure optimal performance and security of the systems.
Ensure regular backups, develop and maintain disaster recovery plans/procedures, and regularly test the same.
Prepare regular system utilization and performance reports for trend analysis and capacity planning.
Design, implement and administer file systems, NIS and NFS environments, DHCP and DNS etc.
Install and administer applications such as Send Mail, Squid, FTP and Apache etc.
Act as the single source of all technical support for the UNIX servers and the SAN storage environment and Backup System.
Ensure system security, system patching, and conduct regular log analysis, system audits.
Create and maintain system document and configuration change log.
Evaluate, select, integrate and implement new system architectures, tools and techniques.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
Skills: Experience or in-depth understanding of SAN storage Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
No. of Year Experience: Min 4 years experience supporting mission critical environments comprising high end clustered Unix servers in large data center environment.
