Software Test Engineer

Duties/Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and regularly review software test cases and test data sets Execute software test cycles, work closely with software developers to isolate bugs, and perform regression testing as needed Document and analyze test results, and report software defects Evaluate and recommend new testing techniques, methods, and toolsets Work with the development engineering and marketing teams during the product specification and design phases to create and implement relevant test plans, specifications and documentation Contribute to the success of the team by improving QA processes, training peers on new technologies, and working with product development engineering to improve overall product quality.

Skills/Experience: Excellent bug isolation and writing skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills, focusing on the QA test process and its relationship to producing a quality product Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a very dynamic environment while working on multiple concurrent and overlapping projects Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively across departments including Marketing, ales, and Engineering Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of programming and/or scripting languages is a plus Experience working in a heterogeneous software development and deployment environment including Windows, UNIX/Linux and/or Macintosh Experience implementing and/or executing test automation with tools such as SilkTest, WinRunner, MS Test, SQA Robot, etc. is a plus Experience working with external partners or developers across various time zones is a plus International product experience is a plus Experience shipping consumer products, preferably involving parallel software/hardware development efforts.

Education: B.S. or equivalent experience.
