My client is a leading Infrastructure Project Developer in water.
Wastewater treatment and reclamation, district cooling, solid waste management and enhanced oil recovery as well as a leading Contractor and Facilities Management Service Provider to the petroleum, chemicals, power, water and commercial sectors in the Middle East and Africa. Due to their on growing projects my client are now recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer (Plumbing) for their Abu Dhabi office.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To lead a team of Design Engineers to develop designs from job specifications in accordance with international engineering standards and codes of practice.
JOB OBJECTIVES
- To lead and manage a team of professional Design Engineers.
- To develop designs from project specifications.
- To allocate, prioritise and check work of a team of Design Engineers.
- To check and evaluate design and material specifications for tender.
- To prepare and check material data sheets and material take off reports
- To document, record and report on meetings, progress of jobs and construction completions from design & validation reports from Project Engineers.
- To incorporate feed back from projects and customers for design clarification and modifications during the development and construction project phases.

Essential:
- A Bachelors degree in Engineering
- Team Leadership

- Thorough understanding of Engineering standards
- AutoCAD application design skills
- Management of a business unit
- Project Management
8 to 14 Years of work Experience as a Design Engineer possibly in multi disciplines.
