Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Ruby on Rails web developer towork on a special project designing an entirely new Web 2.0 application for a start-up in stealth mode!

This is an opportunity not to be missed; you will be at the forefront in creating the v1 of a brand new product with massive potential to be seen and used by tens of thousands of users.

You will be working side-by-side with the high-profile founders (former Microsoft employees, and graduates of University of Chicago and the INSEAD Business School) as well as other web designers.

This is the chance to really make an impact on a new web product and you will be making important decisions about the user interactions of the application.

We are only seeking the best people, so please be ready to show examples of your past work!

Starting salary will be commensurate with knowledge, experience, and ability and will be highly competitive. There are also several opportunities for cash bonuses at the end of the project depending on the quality and timeliness upon completion. Of course, you will also build a great and exciting experience in creating something new!

Skills Required:

- Our code is primarily written in Ruby on Rails, so experience with Ruby on Rails is very important. However, for the most talented candidate we can consider those experienced with other web programming platforms if you are very strong with the MVC framework.
- This position will focus more on the front end user interface coding, so experience with Javascript, AJAX, and user interface programming is a big plus.
- Understanding of common design patterns, algorithms, and object oriented programming.
- You must be extremely creative, able to understand vague requirements.
- You should have basic command of English, especially reading English since all the specifications will be written in English.
- You must be willing to travel to North Karachi area to work in the office.
