ORACLE DBA Required (Saudi Arabia)

This candidate will work under the guidance of the IT Head to develop/support database solutions to support various company initiatives.
The candidate will also work with Development & Production support team - members in effort to provide development support.
Main Roles/Responsibilities:
Install/patch/maintain Oracle databases.
Work with development and support team to tune queries.
Work with Developers to review database design, etc.
Analyze/tune Oracle databases to run at optimal efficiency.
Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or technical questions.
Assist in developing database standards; adhere to existing standards as defined.
Provide 24×7 production support, in an environment where uptime is critical.
Ability to work after hours, as necessary
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related fieldOracle Certified DBA is a must.
Skills:
Candidate should have superior skills in each of the following areas:
Proficiency on the Oracle RDBMS, preferably Oracle 10g (Oracle Certification a plus) in a UNIX environment.
Should have handled at least 10 databases with greater than 1 TB in Sizes on a SAN Environment.
Should be an expert in database performance tuning and application performance tuning.
Should have at least 2 years of experience supporting Oracle ERP Production environment.
Experience architecting, configuring and installing Oracle (10g/11g preferable) in multiple configurations.
Technical experience with: Oracle RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, Database Vault, Audit Vault and related performance and tuning packs.
Software Development experience is a plus, to better understand developer issues, assist in DB design, etc.Other Competencies:
Ability to comprehend overall product vision and generate database solutions to meet business requirements.
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, and work well with developers.
Must be a self starter able to work independently as well as part of the team.
Must possess creative and analytical problem solving and exceptional technical skills.
Perl/Korn Shell scripting, Veritas Cluster Services, PL/SQL, RAC/ASM/RMAN.
No. of Year Experience: 5+ years experience in Oracle (10g / 11i) Database Administration.
Platforms: HP Unix, Windows Advance Servers.
