Nathan Associates Inc., a U.S. based international economic consulting firm seeks candidates for long-term positions on an upcoming economic growth program, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The project: Empower Pakistan: Trade is designed to help the Pakistani economy achieve its export potential by creating an environment that is more conducive to transit, international and regional trade, specifically in enhancing trade ties with Afghanistan.

Chief of Party (Islamabad):
Candidates for this position will have a proven track record of designing, implementing and successfully delivering results on trade reform activities. It is critical that the candidate have experience in working with public officials, developing duty free zones and have a clear understanding of international markets and trade.
The assignment will require the chief of party to work in close coordination with other USAID projects, the World Bank (WB) and multiple government ministries. The Chief of Party should have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in Economics, Business or related field. In lieu of a Master’s degree, a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience is required.
Reconstruction Opportunity Zones Development Advisor (Peshawar):
Candidates for this position will need extensive experience in planning, implementing and supporting duty free zones. This person should be very familiar with how to manage an economically viable duty free zone that attracts investment from the private sector.
The advisor should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and at least a Master’s degree in Economics, Business or related field. In lieu of a Master’s degree, a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience is required.
US Market Advisor (Peshawar):
Candidates for this position will need extensive experience in identifying and developing products/enterprises that have a high likelihood of finding market opportunities in the US, and the ability to advise companies how to capture such market opportunities. This person should be well versed in international trade practices and have a solid understanding of import requirements to the US.
The US Market Advisor should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and at least a Master’s degree in Economics, Business or related field. In lieu of a Master’s degree, a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience is required.
