Min. 5 years experience in similar trade.

Knowledge, Skills & Language :

• Should be able to read/understand engineering drawings, docking plans and constructions plans.
• Should be able to read, write and speak English language.

Main Functional Contacts :

• All section heads, unit heads and head of S & Stores.
• Owners representatives, Port Engineers and Classification Societies.

Overall Job Objectives :

• Formulating quotations and estimates based on client s repair specification and site visit as required.

Duties, Responsibilities & Tasks :

• Preparing quotations based on clients repairs specifications, visiting vessels and sites as required prior to quoting and preparing technical tender specifications.
• Obtaining prices/quotation from suppliers or/and subcontractors.
• Issuing job order sheets for new jobs.
• Rewriting production feed-back.
• Analyzing work done with work quoted.
• Manipulating recorded costs in order to prepare the final account in manner most conductive to early settlement.
• Preparing feed-back to production department highlighting low profit areas.
• Preparing quotations and budget for special projects, in-house development and proposals made by clients.
• Covering area of activity , ship repair steel works, electrical, piping system, propulsion system, hull treatment, rotating machinery, general fabrication, storage vessels, overhead crane manufacture and special projects.
• Preparing final invoices.
