Our client, an International Property Development Firm is looking for candidate as Financial Controller to be based in Malaysia.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all operational finance issues relating to the project finance function.
- Maintain up to date project cash flow forecasts.
- Report on project performance through the provision of incisive, timely and accurate management information to facilitate the decision making process.
- Reports and advises on project financial status during the annual budgeting process.
- Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
- Supervise the closing month-end accounting books. Reconciles balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
- Prepares various financial reports to include but not limited to; balance sheet, profit and loss statement per IFRS and local GAAP requirements. GST/value-added tax report, and income and expense variance reports for internal and external customers.
- May perform allocation of management fee expenses.
- Review invoices for proper account coding.
- Ensures and manages all accounting records and documentary support.
- Prepare and/or review bank reconciliation for various accounts.
- Recommends enhancements to accounting methods and procedures.
- Ability to train and review the work of accountant(s)/accounting clerks for accuracy.
- Experience with Oracle would be added advantage.
Requirements:
- Accounting/Business degree with professional accounting qualification or chartered accountant.
- 7-10 yrs PQE.
- MNC experience (Preferrably in Property Development).
- Track record with multi-locational financial accounting management.
- Proven deliverables in fast moving environment.
- Pragmatic solution provider, working within strong corporate framework.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to relate to people at all levels within the organisation.
- Fluent in English and Local Common Business Language.
